About Pema Tsal Guest House

Pema Tsal Guest House is run by the Kundup Foundation, a non profit organisation registered and audited by the Nepal Government. It's profuts support the Pema Tsal Sakya Monastic Institute. It offers views of the natural beauty of the Annapurna Himalayan Range, green hills, and Seti River.

The monastery complex is located on a hill overlooking Yamdi Pokhara, a 20 minute drive from Pokhara Airport, Tourist Bus Station and Lakeside. Nearby attractions include Tashi Talkhiel Tibetan settlement, a swimming pool, zip flyer and bungee jumping tower.

Pema Tsal Monastery was founded by Khenpo Kunga Dhondup on 13th March 1999 in Kathmandu, Nepal. The institue was moved to Pokhara in 2001 and has since then provided young boys from the most vulnerable families in Mustang and other regions of Nepal with high-quality education. Students living at Pema Tsal are taught both according to the modern curriculum of the Nepali government and receive traditional monastic training.

The Pema Ts'al Guest House was opened in 2017, the Hotel was inaugurated by His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, the Supreme head of the Sakya Sect of Tibetan Buddhism established to support the work of Pema Tsal Sakya Monastery.
