More Information

All rooms offer a very high standard of cleanliness and presentation, combining modern comfort with traditional Nepalese charm.

There is free onsite parking, room service, a laundry service and a very friendly staff team, who can help and advise with travel arrangements, trekking, tour information and local events and festivities.

Hotel residents are welcome to join morning prayer and to visit the Monastery. On arrangement one can also observe classroom teachings and philosophical debates and attend a Tibetan Buddhist class.

Hotel Pema Ts’al is an integral part of the Pema Ts’al Monastic Institute (also known as the Pema Ts’al Sakaya Monastery).  The Monastery, provides free education and care for impoverished Tibetan children from the Mustang region and across Nepal, alongside an extensive outreach programme offering health clinics and educational opportunities in the community.

In Tibetan, Pema means Lotus and Ts’al means garden.  The Lotus is a very sacred flower for Hindus and Buddhists, symbolizing purity, beauty, majesty, fertility, wealth, knowledge and serenity.

Hotel guests are very welcome to engage with the monks and learn more about Tibetan Buddhism and life in the monastery.  We are very proud that our motto Come as a Guest, Leave as a Friend so often proves to be the case.

Whilst staying with us, should you wish, you will have the opportunity to attend morning prayers and rituals, observe classroom teaching, join the monks at leisure and maybe attend an evening philosophy debate or a Buddhist class.

All revenue generated by the hotel goes directly to the Monastery, so by staying with us you are already contributing to our work, and we are hugely grateful you for your much-valued support.  Should you wish to extend your kindness, perhaps you may consider making a donation or sponsoring a young monk and giving him friendship and education through his formative years.  Please click here for further details.
